Samantha Mohr
Mohr was an UGA student and entered her first pageant after being recommended by a close friend. The contest was named Miss Columbus 1985. Mohr then was eligible to be a part of the Miss Georgia pageant, which took place June 1985. Mohr took home The title Miss Georgia 1985, on Saturday 22nd June, 1985. More than $3500 was presented Mohr with a scholarship along with other awards. In her role as Miss Georgia Her activities comprised performances in public across Georgia. Georgia. Mohr, Georgia's representative, was at Miss America 1986, Atlantic City, New Jersey in September of 1985. Mohr stood a chance of 22 to 1 for winning the Miss America title. Computer models proved reliable in predicting Susan Akin's victory. Mohr did not make it to the top 10 finalist list in the race for the nation's crown. Mohr's tenure as Miss Georgia lasted until she was crowned as her successor, Marlesa Ball, as Miss Georgia 1986 on June 28 in 1986.
